First Pair of Socks
I am currently working on my first pair of socks. The yarn I chose is 100% Merino Wool by Koigu Wool. The specific yarn is part of the KPPPM series. The yarn is actually handpainted. It is very pretty. I chose this yarn because it was soft, so I could wear it without having itchy feet and it is thin, so I could wear them outside of the house as well.Knitting using 4 needles really isn't as complicated as it seems. Starting is a little bit awkward initially as the
needles are very tiny, but once you get going no problem. It is also amazing to know that your foot will actually fit in these once they are done as the opening looks rather small, but as we all know, yarn stretches.
As you can see I am only at the beginning of the sock. It will be about midcalf length when it is done.
I also quite like bamboo needles. I find they aren't as slippery as metal or plastic ones. (Granted as these ones are so small it's almost like working with big toothpicks!)
I also started a pair of baby socks. They are SUPER tiny but they'll be really cute when they're done!
